One of the most common problems encountered in today’s society is infertility. It has risen to almost 20-30% in the period of the last four to five years. Parenting is just not something that only a mother requires to get prepared for, father’s play an equally important role. In men, the main reason behind infertility is related to a decrease in the quality and quality of sperms. Here is an Indian Diet Plan to Increase Sperm Count. Home remedies for male infertility. We will also talk about Top 10 foods to increase sperm count and sperm motility in men.

Indian Diet Plan to Increase Sperm Count:

Here is an Indian diet plan to increase sperm count in men. We have included all the superfoods mentioned below. This Indian Diet Plan to Increase Sperm Count will also help you in improving the quality of sperm.

Early Morning1 glass of lukewarm water with lemon +
Soaked Walnuts – 2 +
Dates -2 +
Black Raisin- 2
Breakfast1 egg omelet ( add some green, red and yellow capsicum) with 2 slices of Multigrain toast  OR
Oatmeal with fruit sprinkled with pumpkin seeds
Mid-morning1 glass of Pomegranate Juice or Banana milkshake
Lunch2 whole wheat chapatis +
1 medium bowl vegetable. (Preferably any red, yellow, orange or bright green vegetable) +
1 medium bowl palak dal +
1 glass of Buttermilk sprinkled with Jeera and flaxseed powder
Mid-evening1 cup of ginger tea +
½ cup roasted chana OR
2 Boiled eggs
Dinner1 bowl of Spinach Garlic soup OR
Tomato soup +
Stir-fried veggies +
1 bowl of Methi brown rice OR
1 bowl wheat pasta in tomato sauce with lots of veggies like red, green, yellow capsicum, broccoli and carrot.
Bedtime1 glass milk + 1 -2  tsp Ashwagandha powder.

So this was an Indian Diet Plan to Increase Sperm Count. You can plan a menu around the food items mentioned above.

Top 10 Foods To Increase Sperm Count in Men :

Low sperm count can occur as a result of consuming an unhealthy diet, stress, smoking, intake of excessive alcohol and hot water which can directly harm the sperms. Nevertheless, the health of the sperms can be greatly improved by eating the right food in the diet.

Now that you have seen the Indian Diet Plan to Increase Sperm Count, let us take a look at some superfoods that will help in increasing sperm count as well as help in fighting infertility in men.

  • Red, orange and yellow vegetables and fruits:

According to research, orange and yellow colored vegetables and fruits are known to enhance the quality and quantity of the sperms. These bright-colored vegetables and fruits get their color from carotenoids which comprise of antioxidants which are vitamin A and C. Melons and sweet potatoes have been known to enrich the overall health of the sperms while tomatoes and carrots contain lycopene which improves the quality of unusually shaped sperms. Carrot can increase sperm motility and develop the probability of reaching the egg.

  • Eggs:

One of the best choices of foods to increase the sperm count is eggs. Eggs are high in protein and Vitamin E which give protection to the sperm cells from the dangers of free radicals.

  • Banana:

Banana contains an anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain which is also found in pineapple. It is effective in increasing sperm count.

  • Dark chocolate:

Dark chocolate contains an amino acid called L- arginine that is essential for sperm production. It helps to boost the semen volume.

  • Green Tea:

Green tea is abundant in antioxidant which helps to neutralize free radicals that can harm the sperm cells. It is one of the ideal choices to increase sperm count.

  • Garlic:

Garlic is a rich source of vitamin B6 and selenium which play a great role in the production of sperms. It contains Allicin which has antimicrobial properties that help to enhance the blood flow in the genital area and increase sperm production.

  • Ginger:

Ginger is a wonderful food for infertility in men. It boosts the absorption of important nutrients in the body.

  • Onions:

Onions act as a tonic for strengthening the sexual organs which in turn increases the sperm count.

  • Asparagus:

This green vegetable has rich Vitamin C content which has a positive effect on the sperms. It provides protection for the cells of testicles and boosts the production of sperms.

  • Spinach:

This cruciferous vegetable is enriched in folic acid that makes the sperm cells healthier. Low levels of folate tend to interfere with sperm motility as a result of which it may hinder the penetration to reach the egg. In such cases, the intake of foods rich in folate such as spinach may be effective.

  • Broccoli:

Broccoli is abundant in Vitamin B9 also known as folic acid. It is known to be effective in increasing sperm count. It has the ability to actively increase sperm mobility which leads to the fertilization process.

  • Red Capsicum:

Red Capsicum is packed with antioxidants like Vitamin C and A which helps to increase the motility and count of the sperms. It also helps to reduce the clumping of sperm.

  • Celery:

Celery consists of androsterone which aids in increasing sperm count and improves the health of sperm cells.

  • Pomegranate:

Pomegranate is a storehouse of antioxidants that help destroy free radicals and improves the semen quality. This juicy fruit has been famed as a natural fertility booster throughout history.

  • Walnut:

This brainy nut is packed with omega 3 fatty acids that increase blood flow to the testicles. They also contain arginine which helps to increase the semen volume. The presence of omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants are effective for male infertility.

Home Remedies To Increase Sperm Count In Men:

Here are some home remedies to increase sperm count-

  • Ashwagandha:

This miracle herb can significantly increase sperm count and motility. It can promote healthy production of testosterone as well as increase vitality. Ashwagandha root extract or powder can be taken with warm milk two times a day for a few months for the best results.

  • Shilajit:

This wonderful herb has proven to be effective in increasing the sperm count and the rate of fertility. It can be taken twice a day for maximum benefits.

  • Maca Root:

This is a popular fertility herb that boosts sperm production and balances the hormones. It can be added to a glass of water or Smoothie and taken once in a day.

Apart from this, the inclusion of some natural supplements can also rapidly increase the sperm count. There are two widespread supplements that have been proven to increase the production of sperms namely Semenax and Volume Pills. In addition to the above-mentioned remedies, every effort should be made in order to build up a healthy lifestyle.

  • Clove:

Use 1 bud of clove or a pinch of clove powder in your milk / any food every day. Ayurveda has enough evidence that clove increases sperm motility and prevents premature ejaculation.  You can also combine a pinch of cinnamon powder with this clove powder for better absorption and results. However, make sure you do not overdo this, as the clove is very concentrated and strong and may reverse the effect if taken in more quantity.

  • Limestone Powder / Chuna:

Paan wala chuna is called limestone powder in English. Ayurveda says that chuna or limestone powder has an ability to fight 70 diseases including impotence and infertility in men. you can add 1/2 tsp of chuna to your health drinks or water or even have it the traditional way in paan/betel nut leaf.

  • Fenugreek Seeds extracts:

Several researches have confirmed that taking fenugreek seed extracts have helped men in increasing testosterone levels, strength, improved libido, sexual performance, and, improved erectile functions. Around 500 – 600 mg of extract will be helpful.
