Hello doctor, I have been following your diet plan for diabetics and am happy to inform that my fasting blood sugar is now quite stable and within norms. However, it is generally advised NOT to drink water immediately after a meal. But you advise drinking hot water with 3 drops of lemon juice immediately after a meal. Kindly clear my doubt. I can understand your confusion for water , actually this is because on contradicion in science and Ayurveda . According to ayurveda ,you should not drink water immediately after a meal . and hence a lot of indians practice that. while according to science, water is something that should be drank any time that you feel its need. However , i have been practicing this warm water and lemon drink after meals with my clients and all of them have reported better digestion, better sugars and better weight loss. hence i mention it in most of my charts .
