Hi.
I had C-section in January. Initially my milk wasn’t sufficient and my baby’s weight was less so as per doctors suggestion I started formula milk. Now my baby is habituated to formula milk. She’s 4 months now and got cold two times. Everyone is saying since she did not get mothers milk she has less immunity. I pressed and saw that I still have milk like I could see one or two drops.
So my question is can I feed her again although now she’s not latching properly and vomiting bm.
If yes what could I do.
Hi Harini ,
Actually we are a bit late here . even if you started top milk, you should have fed her at least 1-2 times , just for the ake, i doubt if you would be able to restore the milk flow again, Its going to be a tough journey but nonetheless you can always try holding her for a feed . Initially she will not like it , will throw tantrum , but if you can really feed her , with every feeds your milk supply will be boosted and she will become comfortable. but it will take time.
Yes I used to feed her bm both once or twice a day. But there had been done gap now. I haven’t fed her like for almost a month. Maybe that’s the reason she lost the touch and not even latching, she latches only when she’s about to sleep.
How about pumping and feeding her through a bottle.
yes you can try that.
