How is this Indian diet plan for weight gain made?

Weight gain requires a person to take in more calories with good quality proteins and other nutritious food. However, it is hard to provide good quality proteins to vegetarians because of the limited sources available. But in the above-given chart, I have tried to incorporate as many good sources as possible. Addition of skimmed milk powder to your milk and vegetable gravies and also to your dough while kneading are good ways to convert the “not so nutritious food ” into ” nutritious “.

    my diet chart is

    early morning- milk 500 ml

    breakfast- 2 pratha 1 cup curd, lassi

    mid morning- 2 eggs, 500 ml milk

    lunch- 5 chapati with dal or vegetables and lassi

    evening- oatmel 1 cup

    dinner- 5 chapati, dal or vegetables

    late night- 1 ltr milk

    mam it is right?

    i have 1 hours workout in day.

    my hieht 5,8 and weight 70 kg my age 19 years

        I workout on a regular basis & my trainers insist on consuming a protein supplement.The one that they sell at the gym is a local brand & I doubt whether it is a real protein supplement or not.Is it necessary to consume a supplement ? or is the diet enough ?and if yes

    I’m actually pretty tall guy. I’m 24years old and i stand at 6.2ft.
    My current weight is 69kgs.
    I do eat healthy (3 square meals a day). My problem in not gaining on weight seems to be gentic, since my mother and her side of the family are pretty lean.

    I am 21 years old and I am very thin, I am pure vegetarian, mam I am eating too much but no gain, I have joined gym recently they are forcing me to eat supplements powder to gain weight, because they tell vegetarian diet doesn’t contain zinc, mineral etc….     hi mam I am 21yrs old girl and my weight is 36.3 only l consult DGO doctors they told that it’s a genetic reason you can’t gain weight before marriage .       thanks for reading at Dietburrp. weight gain is best possible with good food habit and some strength training exercises . so if you wanna gain weight try both in combi. if you cannot follow the entire plan due to time issues, pick up those things which you find manageable and follow it for some days and see trhe results.

      whether it is genetic or not is difficult for me to answer, a doctor would be able to give you a good tip on that

    Hello Maam!, Have gone thu ur article and suggestions, m having thin body and I stay in bachelors hostel.       for a glowing skinn you need to eat a lot of fruits , this will be manageable , as you can buy and eat them. you can ask your family to make laddoo with dry fruits and coconut , and have 4-5 ladoos everyday. you can also buy dry fruit chikki and keep handy , eat when possible . if eggs are ok , you can buy boiled eggs and omletts from food stalls and have twice a day.

      some foods that help in hyperthyrpoidism are – brocolli, cabbage, cauliflower, eggs, mushrooms, flax seeds, olive oil, fish , walnuts, berries , beans, meat , nuts , yogurt.

    mam,my height is 6ft,1 inch,but my weight is only 60kgs..i wana increase it to atleast 75kgs to get a better physique,please do help me mam..i wil listen to all your advices and wil be grateful if you would help me by giving a diet chart..(i am a vagetarian but i can eat eggs at last)

      i have not mentioned the timing as this is a generalized chart , and early morning for an early riser can mean 6 .00 am or for a late riser can mean 8 . 00 am too. soo ..

    Hello ma’am. Your diet plans are great and effective…
    My question here is that could you please suggest me some energy rich veg. food (before gym) and protein rich veg. Food (after gym).
    Rite now after gym I simply drink half liter milk with 4 bananas (100gm each) and 2 boiled eggs.
    I think its not fulfilling my protein needs.

      Hi Yash ,

      (1) mam is it better to run on treadmill instead of polluted outdoor environment i mean in metro cities

      – it is good to exercise .. whatever is convenient is good. we normally do not advice treadmill for people above 45 / 50 years , as this may affect knee joints if the person is not used to . otherwise its no problem. whatever you could do is good.

      (2) what quantity of dry fruits is enough in a day
      – around 100 gms of dry fruit over all for weight gain is good

      (3) what type of foods are useful while studying for long. Also i have read somewhere that lemon water 2-3 times a day is good
      – yes its good. you can have nuts , sunflower seeds , flax seeds , popcorn , salads , fruits , coffee and maggi :) (i ve done that a lot in my college days :P )
