How is this Indian diet plan for weight gain made?

Weight gain requires a person to take in more calories with good quality proteins and other nutritious food. However, it is hard to provide good quality proteins to vegetarians because of the limited sources available. But in the above-given chart, I have tried to incorporate as many good sources as possible. Addition of skimmed milk powder to your milk and vegetable gravies and also to your dough while kneading are good ways to convert the “not so nutritious food ” into ” nutritious “.

Note – this is a generalized Indian diet plan for weight gain. This Indian diet plan for weight gain may or may not be suitable to you as an individual. Although there is no harm in following this Indian diet plan for weight gain, results will be based on suitability and your personal body requirements. Dear Payal,
Thanks for your reply. My boys aged 7 and 9, weigh 17 kg and 21 kg. We being strict vegetarians, they eat very less protein stuff as they r very picky eaters. Also they don’t like vegetables and fruit. Milk too is twice a day only.
Please suggest me ways to increase their appetite as they r active, but consume very little food. They like junk stuff, but i am not too keen to give it to them.

I m sitting at 102 kg at the moment with my height around 6 feet. I wanted to get down to 92kg and lose extra fat and probably gain some muscle. Should I just concentrate on losing fat or either. Or can I do them together. If I can, can you please advise how?

      Hi Mandeep ,

converting fat to muscles will require intense strength training at the gym . if you can manage such high intensity strength training workout , then you should go ahead with it and not bother about weight. if weight is of importance to you , then you should first do a weight loss diet loss 5-6 kgs and then get to intense workout for muscle building … you can select any of the above options based on convenience .

    Hello Payal,

    Greetings of the day..!!

Thanks for your sincere reply. Yeah, even I feel the same that it’s just because of my metabolism that I am unable to gain weight in spite of endless efforts, anyway.

Well, yeah I ll surely go ahead and read the case of Ms. Lizzie Velasquez as you suggested, let’s see if I could get something from there. Thanks again. Hv a happy and healthy life ahead.

    Hello Payal,
    Hope you are doing well.
Myself Angel, a 27-year-old Indian girl weighing 39kg with a height of 5’2. It’s been more or less 5yrs that I am trying to gain weight, but unable to do so. I hv tried gym, but of no use (I hardly gained 1.5kg in 5-6months), consulted with no. of doctors too including heomatoathy, ayurvedic, allopathy but no one could help me out.. Evn consulted a gynec and she said I am perfect nothing to worry about “Bs khana Khao thik se, baki sb shadi k bad thik hojayenga “, but I am really concerned when it comes to my health. By profession I am an Editor (Medical transcription) so I don’t need to do physical work as such. And let me bring it to your kind attention that my siblings are healthy enough and I am not in a queue of genetic disorder as such.
However, I always use to make diet plans for me (as I am personally a nutrition and health education diplomate) and that includes early morning meals, breakfast, lunch, evening meals, dinner and before bed. (I dnt add more meals plans as I can’t hv that so 5 is enough for me though) and I hv a good appetite too by the way. I hv recently started aerobics classes too. Well, at the end just wanna know if you can please help me out with my problem?? I would greatly appreciate it if you could just let me know what can I do to gain weight.

Your response is awaiting. (if you feel like reply me personally so you can drop me mail at angelg91@rocketmail.com)

    Thanks and Regards,
    Angel

      Hi Angel ,

I think it is your metabolism … bed=cause i you ar not gaining weight despite of all the mentioned efforts , the only reason i can figure out is that your metabolic rate is exceptionally high . in such a case , no matter how much you eat or exercise the weight does not increase . there are many others in the world with same problem . read the case of Ms Lizzie Velasquez . your problem may not be as severe as hers . but you will get some insight . I am not suggesting that you have a same problem as hers , but may be you find some light in her case study .

because your mom has diabetes it will be better if you take her medical reports and medicine details to a dietician in person and get a chart made for her . she requires a personalized diet plan

      Hi Adnan ,

yes the above mentioned plan is suitable .. you can follow it as long as it helps you in gaining weight . may 2-3 months .

dark circles may be due to less sleep , more stress , too much sun , too much smoking and alcohol as well … chalk out why you have dark circles .. it cannot be due to your lower body weight . and once you kno the reason , you will know what to do … by the way you cn take some pulp of potato and apply it under eye for reducing the dark circles .
