How is this Indian diet plan for weight gain made?

Weight gain requires a person to take in more calories with good quality proteins and other nutritious food. However, it is hard to provide good quality proteins to vegetarians because of the limited sources available. But in the above-given chart, I have tried to incorporate as many good sources as possible. Addition of skimmed milk powder to your milk and vegetable gravies and also to your dough while kneading are good ways to convert the “not so nutritious food ” into ” nutritious “.

Note – this is a generalized Indian diet plan for weight gain. This Indian diet plan for weight gain may or may not be suitable to you as an individual. Although there is no harm in following this Indian diet plan for weight gain, results will be based on suitability and your personal body requirements. Hi Alka,

i think you should take both medicines as well as the diet. iron deficiency is a little hard to be treated only with food. although it helps in long run , but for immediate effects supplementation are required. so take both. atleast 1 of it will work. :)

      Hi Dev,

If you cannot follow a proper diet, dont worry , just make note of the food items mentioned here , and try to consume it when you get a chance to . these are high calorie and high protein foods that would help you in weight gain. also doing strength training is necessary.

Can you join a gym ? doing strength training exercises will help you in gaining muscles and becoming fit in the long run. also if you can not follow the diet as it is , try to foollow as much as you can , make a note of the items mentioned in the plan and try to eat them more regularly. this will help you in gaining good weight.

      Hi Dhruv,

You should think of including a protein supplement in your routine than . 3000 calories from food is sufficient for the activities you mentioned. only protein powders and weight gainers can do the trick after this. there is a wide range of these supplemets in the market, your football instructor should help you find the one which would suit you most. all the best

try including more porotein in your diet. have 2-3 glasses of milk every day along with curds and it will help your skin to glow and repair. eating raw fruits and veggies will also help you. start including sprouts in your diet and all these things together will work wonders

I ama 53 kg weighing ectomorph with a height of 5 feet 7 inches, i had recently quit smoking because it acted as a barrier in weight gaining. But even after that i am not able to gain a single kg weight even after eating right amount of food. I am tired of being skinny and feel guilty of it. I am often being teased and bullied of being skinny. Please tell me that hiw much time it takes gaining weight upto the 10 kg by following this diet and some exercises like push-ups. Please answer my query mam. I would be very thankful to you. You can answer me in detail on ny oersinal phone number. Please answer mam as soon as possible.

Hi Mam…….I’m male and my weight is 47kgs and height is 170 cms. Can i take weight gainers to increase my weight (like Muscleblaze weight gainer). I read in an article that taking weight gainers leads to diabetes because they have lot of sugar and they make body to to gain a lot fat. Is that true ? Will there are any side effects with weight gainer ? Is it good or bad to take weight gainer ?

    Thank you so much.

Yes you can take these supplements . for better digestion, make it a point to walk for 10 mins after all 3 major meals. and you can also include warm water and lemon. this will help in digestion. if the indigestion problem is severe , then you must see a doctor.

      Hi Rahul ,

I understand that it may be difficult to have so many meals . but you can select the food items from this chart that you can make available and have it whenever you can eat, irrespective of the chart timing. along with the diet chart, you should also start some weight lifting exercises and strength training. this will help you in gaining weight . also when you start gymning you can consider some protein powder and supplements.
