Banana oat blueberry bread

What comes to your mind when you hear Blueberry? Slurpy Blueberry bread / Muffins?? How would you feel on having a healthier version and something similar? Here you go then!! Healthy food doesn’t have to taste bad, Try this Banana oat blueberry bread and you will know.

Banana-Blueberry Bread

Banana oat blueberry bread

Ingredients  (Makes 10 – 12 slices)

  • 1 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe banana, about 2 medium
  • 2/3 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1   Tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup  rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup  Blueberries

Instructions

 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and dust lightly with flour.

 2: Whisk buttermilk, eggs, banana, sugar, and oil in a large bowl until well blended. Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl. Stir flour mixture into buttermilk mixture, mixing just until combined. Gently fold in blueberries. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

 3: Bake about 1 hour, or until browned and a pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack. slice it. the yummy banana oat blueberry bread is ready!

    Your website is usseful and very userfriendly.Thanks for creating such a awesome site.I just wanna ask you to post some recipes for pure vegetarians.Iam a pure vegetarian(no egg,no fish).I wanna gain weight by vegetarian diet only.Iam workingout daily for about 30minutes in gym.I hope you help the vegetarians.Thankyou
