      Hi ,

for a person to be declared as diabetic , the fasting blood sugar levels should be greater than 126 mg / dl … so please check … there is nothing like zero carb … every food has carbs , little or more .. but you can check this plan – https://www.dietburrp.com/indian-version-of-atkins-diet/

      Hi Kumar ,

HBA1 c is the sugar level indicator of 120 day average … and the current fasting and pp reports are due to the last 1-2 days food habit and lifestyle … it simply means that when you checked your fasting and pp sugars , the previous 1-2 ays were not good in terms of diet and exercises .

      Hi Mrinal ,
Looking at his case history , it is important to monitor his test reports , sugar levels and medicines and accordingly prescribe a good diet that benefit and improves his health .. please see a dieticinan in your town in person , who can help you with it . taking a tentative diet wouldnt be of much help to your father

    Dear Payal,

I am 33 years old, 6 months pregnant and my HBA1C reading was 7%. I have started monitoring my BS levels pre and post meals. My pre meal levels are always <5 but my post meals are always high. It is around 7.5 – 8.8 on an average. I am on metaformin 500 twice a day and have been avoiding bread, rice, red meat, sweets/sugar, certain fruits, salt, oil all processed foods etc. Doctor has suggested that I start insulin.
My height is around 5.1 and my weight at the time of conception was 71.5kgs. My current weight is 69.9kgs.
I had GD with my first child around 2 years ago but it was diet controlled and I was not on any medication. Post my first delivery I never checked my BS levels.

I'm afraid to start insulin. Is there a way that I can avoid it?

      Hi ,

what time is is having his tab ? midi night hunger , you can keep an apple or 2 marie biscuits and 1 glass milk handy . let him have it .. you need to convey this to the doctor . he will either adjust the dosage or the timings of his medicines .
