How is this Indian diet plan for weight gain made?

Weight gain requires a person to take in more calories with good quality proteins and other nutritious food. However, it is hard to provide good quality proteins to vegetarians because of the limited sources available. But in the above-given chart, I have tried to incorporate as many good sources as possible. Addition of skimmed milk powder to your milk and vegetable gravies and also to your dough while kneading are good ways to convert the “not so nutritious food ” into ” nutritious “.

Note – this is a generalized Indian diet plan for weight gain. This Indian diet plan for weight gain may or may not be suitable to you as an individual. Although there is no harm in following this Indian diet plan for weight gain, results will be based on suitability and your personal body requirements. Hi Satyam ,

yes you can calculate your BMR – https://www.dietburrp.com/bmr-calculator/ the normal calorie requirement is you BMR + 500 cals . but to add on and gain weight and muscles , you need to add additional 500 – 700 calories based on your physical activity level. so you could do it that way .

this as mentioned in the chart is a general 3000 calorie chart and just for reference.

Hi Priyank , there can be side effects if you are over eating proteins . make sure you are within the normal intake limit which is max of 1.5 gms per kg body weight. your body cant handle more than that .

you can start with the diet plan and see the changes . i will suggest you to not start with supplements immediately . observe the weight gain and if you feel the weight gain rate is good , then carry on as is . but if you find it slow or not useful , then you will have to consider supplements.

yes they can cause truble if you dont mind the quantity of intake . but if you are working out and drinking enough water then its alright. maintain a total protein intake of 1.5 gms per kg body weight . beyound this, its hard for the kidneys to manage .
