it is better to start off with thyroid medicines. actually monitoring thyroid closely is very essential. once it starts hyposecretion , it leaves severe effect on body weight , and then it would become all the more difficult. losing weight with hypothyroidism is a bit tough , but its not impossible, you mentioned you are already doing things to help ypu in losing weight . if you share your eating habits and exercise schedule, ill be able to help you in tweaking the schedule further to be able to lose weight.

recipe of bread upama – cut 2 brown bread into small cubes . chopp onion and tomatoes and keep ready . in a pan , add 1/2 tsp oil , mustard seeds , gren chilly , curry leaves for seasoning , add chopped onion and tomatoes till brown , add cubed bread slices , mix well , add salt to taste , some red cilly powder aned cover with a lid for 5 mins , add chopped coriander leaves.

khichadi – take 1 bowl green split mung dal , 1/2 bowl rice , and chopped veggies like carrots , beans , capsicum , onions and tomato . in a cooker , add 1/2 tsp oil , add mustard seeds , curry leaves , reen chilly, add all chopped veggies , haldi and salt and saute it for 2 mins , then add the soaked mung dal and rice and saute it for a min , add 3 bowls of water and pressure cook it .

i can understand your concern . but please dont worry . at such young ages , the best you can do to make sure of their health and fitness is to have them to exercise for atleast an hour every day . i know its difficult to get these young kids to exercise . so try to find any physical activity around your residence . like swimming / skatting / basket ball / karate , which will grab their attention and get them to become fit at the same time .

pp sugar is the sugar that increases due to food you eat , while fasting sugar is the sugar that the body produces on its own overnight. so basically you need to avoid all sweets and maida and fried items . walk for 10 mins after every meal and have a glass of warm water with lemon after each ,meal . following this even for 1 week will bring in a lot of difference.

Anyways, In Feb I was 80 kg and had lost 19 kgs till date, I am following your verison of Gm diet plan once in every month, and consistently lost the weight, but in last couple of attemps I lost only a kg and feeling very disappointed, Further I tried following your 1200 cal plan since last month following my Cal intake with the help of My fitness pal App, and lost 3 kgs , also I do fast walk and Jog early morning for an hour.
but since last 3 weeks my weight has stayed constant to 61kg the 1200 cal is not giving me required results despite of following it rigorously.. I tried to change my food items and quantity but still no use. Any reason why my weight must have stuck up to 61kgs, Also just FYI I have a hypothyroid.
weight is been constant and not reducing since last couple of month, any suggestions from your side to change in the plan or something???

Firstly congratulation . you have come a long way . and i am glad my diets have helped you.
what is your height ? there are 2 reasons that i can see .
1 . rubberband effect – normally when you follow diet regimes and exercises regimes over a period of 6-8 months and you manage to lose good weight, there comes a point when the body stops responding to weight loss effects , the BMR gets constant and despite of calorie reduction , much changes are not visible. you need to be careful . for a while stop your attempts of weight loss and concentrate on managing this weight so that the rubberband effect can be avoided. or else the lost weight will bounce back . exercising for 30 mins and managing calorie intake to 1400 a day is adviced .
2. YOU HAVENT MENTIONED YOUR HEIGHT , SO YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR bmi . IF YOU HAVE ENTERETED THE NORMAL LEVELS , THERE IS a possibility that the weight will get constant here. your body type and herediatary factors are also to be considered.

Dont worry , i understand your concern . i dont think you should restrict her diet much . she is too young for it. but yes you can take the reference of the above mentioned diet plan and feed her the items mentioned here in a better quantity. if she likes pastas and bread , give her whole wheat pasta with lots of sauteed veggies (salad form , avoid gravy or have little gravy). replace the regulr bread with multigrain breads and whole wheat breads.
